Dr. Glenn Cherry is a native of Daytona Beach, Florida. He graduated from Morehouse College with a degree in Biology. Dr. Cherry earned the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. He served on active duty in the United States Air Force, at the rank of Captain, as Chief of Public Health Services at bases in Soesterburg, The Netherlands and Izmir, Turkey. Dr. Cherry received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force Reserve. He has been licensed to practice in Florida for more than 20 years.
Alejandra (Alex) Gonzalez was born in Cali, Colombia and came to Florida in 1998 when she was 7 years old. She has lived in the Tampa Bay area since then and has had pets all her life. She is a veterinary assistant who enjoys spending quality time with patients as well as ensuring they receive the proper care. She earned a degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida and has a passion for wildlife and the environment. Alex wants to continue to pursue her passion by becoming a veterinarian someday. She worked for veterinary hospitals since 2012 and is the caring owner of a dog and cat named Batman and Robin. Alex is also bilingual. Her hobbies include hiking, bicycling, getting sun and playing the guitar with her pets as the audience!
Abigail (Abi) Peterson was born in Virginia Beach, VA and relocated to Tampa, FL in October of 2007. She relocated with her spouse for a change of scenery. Abi has worked at several different animal hospitals fulfilling many duties but enjoys the receptionist position the best. She has worked in the industry for 8 years. Abi greets all clients with a warm voice and a welcoming smile. She enjoys helping all clients and patients and treats them in the way she’d hope to be treated. Currently, she is pursuing her degree at Hillsborough Community College in Business Management. Abi hopes to one day own her own pet boutique that will sell items to spoil your love ones! She is the owner of two cats, Bubba and Miracle Lucille, and a pug named Missy. Her heart and passion is for the lost animals and the ones waiting to find their forever homes from animal rescue organizations and shelters. Abi says,"Save a life,adopt, don’t shop!"
Kelis Vogel was born in Anderson, SC and relocated to Ruskin, FL with her family in 2008. She is our appointment coordinator for community veterinary clinics in the Ruskin area. Kelis enjoys spending time with her husband and twins. She is the proud owner of King, a Yorkshire Terrier and a beta fish, Boots. Currently, she is pursing a degree in Child Psychology, where she one day hopes to be able to work with children and help them to better understand “life” and navigate it with a sense of responsibility, respect, and confidence. Her passions are her family, pets, and helping others.
